Drawing on extensive expertise in financial management and community engagement, Kris is focused on establishing a solid financial foundation for the network while advancing its mission to build a cohesive, connected professional community in Nunavut.
Kris’s dedication to community development extends to leadership roles with The Reading Partnership as Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee and with Home Ownership Alternatives as Chair of the Membership Committee. Passionate about social impact, Kris is driven to empower professionals across Nunavut to thrive in their careers and contribute meaningfully to the region’s economic and social growth.

Tjidzani Maphosa
Secretary
Tjidzani is a mission-driven strategic leader with a strong background in client engagement, team development, and organizational change management across diverse sectors including technology, relocation, and talent development. With over a decade of experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams, Tjidzani brings a consultative, people-first approach to advancing organizational goals and community impact.

Throughout her career, including leadership roles at various organizations, Tjidzani has championed process improvement, conflict resolution, and adult learning strategies—skills that translate well to the nonprofit space. With a strong foundation in communication, relationship-building, and change facilitation, Tjidzani is adept at guiding organizations through growth and transition while staying aligned with their core mission.
Tjidzani holds a BA in International Studies from the University of North Texas and an AA in Communications. A dedicated community advocate, Tjidzani volunteers as a coach, mentor and facilitator reflecting a deep personal commitment to empowerment and education.

Wainaina Mwangi
Treasurer
Wainaina is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) with over a decade of progressive experience in the financial services industry, specializing in accounting, financial analysis, and operations support. He has a strong track record in budgeting, variance analysis, productivity reporting, and team leadership across multiple business units. With advanced analytical skills and an MBA, Wainaina brings a blend of technical expertise, financial acumen, and strategic insight to support organizational growth and efficiency.
